Dr. Tebogo Trevor Kingsley Matome is a financial economist, former executive leader, academic and board chairman.

Dr. Matome’s professional journey spans finance education, investment management, the development of Botswana’s capital markets and enterprise support. Across those settings, his work has centred on institutions and the people they serve.
He is Chairman of Stanbic Bank Botswana and has returned to finance teaching at the University of Botswana. These current roles follow executive leadership at the Botswana Stock Exchange and the Local Enterprise Authority.

Academia
His early professional years at the University of Botswana joined finance teaching with faculty service and the development of new banking and finance study.

At Botswana Insurance Fund Management, he moved into portfolio management and the decisions that shape investment practice.

At the Botswana Stock Exchange, he led an institution during a formative chapter for Botswana’s financial markets.
